  1. First off, I love this drill. I will practice that for sure. If you have tight hips, is that where you would flare your back foot out a little to help with the turn?

  2. Holy cow. This is it. This is the reason I’m hitting inconsistent iron distances. I took golf up again in June playing 95 average score to 88 now. I generally hit irons well, not always strait, but might be 20 yards difference in distance shot to shot. Thinking back I’m not paying attention to shoulder turn on backswing but can feel thinking back that’s where I’m losing distance

  3. I finally got rid of my push slice yesterday because I realised that I’d been working so much on backswing and position at impact, that I was keeping the club in impact position after impact. Once I started ‘rolling my wrists’ through impact, I was hitting them straight as an arrow. There’s that warm up I’ve seen in a few of your videos where you swing the club from side to side whilst rolling the wrists 180 degrees. That’s the feeling I now have through downswing and impact. Maybe this will help other beginners – think about what you do after you’ve made impact. Keeping it in impact position after impact doesn’t help!
